Research Area: Parallel Compiler, Parallel Programming Model & Software Tools

Zheng, Qilong received his B.E. and M.E. degrees in computer science from Wuhan University and University of Science and Technology of China (USTC) in 1991 and 1994, respectively.

Since 1994, Zheng,Qilong has been a faculty member for USTC, where he is currently an Associate Professor in the School of Computer Science and Technology. He is also a member of both the National High Performance Computing Center (at Hefei), and Anhui Key Laboratory of High Performance Computing and Application. From September 2002 to March 2003, as a visiting scholar, he studied and did research at the University of California at San Diego (UCSD).

Zheng,Qilong has sponsored or participated over 20 research grants Since 1997, financially supported by National 863 Plan, National/Anhui Provincial Natural Foundation of China(NSFC), Ministry of Industry and Information Technology of PRC, and Intel, respectively. He won the Science and Technology Progress Award in 2000 from Chinese Academy of Sciences and in 2001 from Ministry of Science and Technology of PRC. In addition, he won in 2009 National Education Award on Parallel Computing Courses. Up to today, he has published more than 30 papers in academic journals and conferences. He is the co-author of “Practice of Parallel Algorithms”, and the first translator of Chinese edition of “Crafting a Compiler with C”.
